Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I Pick up the Keys forthe Bittersweet (Chicago) apartment?
A: For your convenience, we offer 'self check-in' for Bittersweet.  A week before check-in, we will sent an email requesting payment of the balance via PayPay.  There is a three and a half percent administration charge on this payment.  On receipt of the payment, we will email detailed check-in instructions.

Q: Briefly, how does 'Self Check-In' work?
A: We provide a set of keys in a lockbox attached to the railing outside the door to the building.  You will need the 'dongle' on the key to gain access to the building.  The door to the apartment itself can be opened either with the key or by entering a code on the numeric keypad:

Q: How do I Check Out?
A: Leave the keys on the kitchen counter and lock the front door behind you, making sure that you have not left any property in the apartment.

Q: What if I arrive before the 3:00 pm check-in?
A: We allow but cannot guarantee early check-in.  We clean the apartment for the next guest between 11am and 3pm.  However, you can collect the keys and leave luggage in the apartment while we clean it if the prior guests have checked-out.

Q: Where is the parking?
A: Street parking is available.  However, we recommend renting our parking space at an additional cost of $10 per night.  The parking space is located a block away at 832 W Belle Plaine Avenue:
